You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger

7/10

This was an average Woody Allen movie, not filled with all the passion, comedy and stuff like that, stuff that makes a movie more than ‘worth it’. It doesn’t bind you together like his older movies like ‘Mighty Aphrodite’, ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’, or ‘Annie Hall’. It has funny moments or rather ‘supposedly funny’ moments but it fails to grab your attention totally. The second reason I saw the movie was Frieda Pinto, the first being Woody Allen, of course. Frieda Pinto might turn out to be a good actor in recent future. But in this movie, she was just above average, with lesser expressions and voice modulation.

The narration by Zak Orth is awesome; narration being one of the most important parts of Woody Allen’s Films. The ensemble cast contains of big names such as Sir Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas but that doesn’t help at all.

Watch it just for the sake of watching a ‘Woody Allen’ flick.
